This modern home near Lake Tahoe, California, has been partially built off and prefab to cut down on onsite construction, which is tricky in this region. The house is nestled in the woods, and only three trees were removed to clean the website.

have you got any ski plans this winter? My experience growing up was rather different from people who enjoy these houses; when I was little, my whole family shared one room in a no-frills motel in New Hampshire. In my 20s, far too a lot people would cram into a condominium in West Virginia; one year the condos were booked, so we rented a small mouse-infested cottage from a farmer outside of town. Please share your ski plans and memories in the Opinions section.
